This review is long overdue as there is a lot of history with Joe DeFazio. To begin, DeFazio’s (when located in Innsbrook) was where my husband and I had our first date. What a great night! From that point, we dined at DeFazio’s on numerous occasions – all of which far surpassed our expectations.Over the summer, I used Joe DeFazio’s Catering for my niece’s bridal shower which was a huge hit. All the food was delicious as ever and the presentation was PERFECT. Recently, I used DeFazio’s Catering for a small luncheon – very last minute planning on my part – but Joe came to my rescue! Once again, ALL WAS PERFECT! Joe is by far, the most generous in wanting to please. He and his staff are a joy to work with, very professional and provide superior, friendly service that can’t be beat! Joe & GangSeveral years ago we decided that a great way to celebrate our success from the prior year and the opportunity ahead in the upcoming year would be a company-wide awards dinner every January. This event has grown to an offsite dinner for about 80 of our employees, their spouse or significant other and several key venders. Needless to say, it is extremely important that this is done right. 2008 was the eighth year of this tradition and the first year we had DeFazio’s cater the event.

The feedback that I received from practically 100% of our employees was that this year’s event was the “best ever” – primarily because of you and your team. What a difference having the right caterer and food can make! Everyone raved about the food. Your menu suggestions were right on. The service was outstanding. Your staff made everyone feel special. The best part, at least from my perspective, was that you guys took care of it all. With past events (working with other caterers) sometimes I felt like we were doing all the work. From coming up with ideas for the menu, to providing decorations, to planning the agenda you guys did it all! For the first time in years all I had to do was show up and enjoy the event.

Please make sure that you put us on your calendar for 2009. We plan on holding our awards dinner either the 17th or 24th of January. I don’t think my staff will let me have the party without you!”

“Can’t say enough about my thanks to the DeFazio’s crew. They worked with our homegrown event & indulged us in roasting a pig on site, placing our florist’s “fascinator hat” over one ear, working around our crystal/flower laden tables, & other unconventionalities, all of which made our wedding so different and special to us. AND they stayed within our budget! Many guests commented on how impressed they were with the waitstaff who worked so intensely, tirelessly – and seemingly invisibly – moving about to 3 different sites on the property – throughout the event! They actually did get to (pass the hors d’oeurves to) everyone, unobtrusively, offering the passed foods to our seemingly closed chat circles. I usually starve as I watch passed hors d’oeurves fly by at other events, somewhere mid room, but not so with DeFazio’s wait staff. Thank you!Donna Whiteway
